Basic Installation Steps:
- Prepare 4-20mA Sensor (Single Channel / 8 Channel) and Sonicu provided wiring needed for installation.
- Follow one of the two wiring diagrams below.
- Note: The wiring will differ depending on how the equipment being monitored is powered. Please consult with your equipment’s manual to determine which diagram should be followed for connecting to Sonicu’s sensor.
- If necessary, plug power into the 4-20mA sensor using the Sonicu provided 24V power adapter.
- Connect the 4-20mA sensor to your Duo via the 3.5mm jack.
- Power on the Sonicu hardware, and proceed with the normal “Implementation Wizard” process via the Sonicloud Mobile App.

8 Channel 4-20mA Sensor:
Example for Self Powered Sensor: Single Channel & 8 Channel 4-20mA Sensor
*** For self powered equipment that will be monitored by a Sonicu 4-20mA Sensor, the provided 24V power adapter is not needed. ***
When monitoring equipment with a Sonicu Single Channel 4-20mA Sensor, you will be able to monitor 1 x 4-20mA signal per sensor, via its corresponding “Channel Description”.
Single Input Sonicu DUO:
Dual Input Sonicu DUO:
When monitoring equipment with a Sonicu 8 Channel 4-20mA Sensor, you will be able to monitor 8 x 4-20mA signals per sensor, via its corresponding “Channel Description”.
Single Input Sonicu DUO:
Example for Sonicu Powered Sensor: Single Channel & 8 Channel 4-20mA Sensor
*** For Equipment / Sensors that will be powered by the Sonicu hardware, use the provided 24V power adapter for proper operation and monitoring. Verify that all sensors to be powered by Sonicu hardware do not exceed a combined draw of .5A ***
