The S.T.A.R Report allows users to interpret Sound information being recorded in your facility, but must be manually enabled for your site.
Before running the S.T.A.R. report for the first time the report will need to be Enabled on SoniCloud. To enable the report, please follow the steps below.
1. Use the Navigate button on the top right and go to Settings.
2. Under the Reports and Summaries section, select Report Settings.
3. In the Reports Enabled? field, click and select Enabled.
4. Once enabled, several more fields will populate to adjust the settings for the S.T.A.R. report.
5. The S.T.A.R. Report Loudest Events field allows you to set if you would like the loudest weekly sound events recorded on your report.
6. The S.T.A.R Auto Send Frequency field allows you to set if you would like the report to calculate sound pressure measurements Daily or Weekly.
7. The S.T.A.R. Leq Target (dBA) field allows you to set your Leq target. The Leq is the measurement of average sound pressure. This is not a mathematical average. The Leq measures how any sound events are interpereted by the human ear.
8. The S.T.A.R Lmax Target (dBA) field allows you to set your Lmax target. The Lmax is the loudest sound event in a 5 minute period.
9. Night Start and End Time Fields allow you to separate sound measuring between Daytime periods, where your area is busy, and Nighttime periods, where sounds are usually lower and less frequent.
10. The S.T.A.R. Graph Addendum allows you to receive a graphical representation of your trending sound data per day. To enable to Addendum report, click the Reports Enabled? field and choose Enabled.
11. Once enabled, you will be able to choose the addendum analytics. You can choose between the following settings:
Leq Only
Lmax Only
Leq and Lmax
Zones Only
Areas Only
Zones and Areas
12. Once you have finished selecting the settings for your S.T.A.R. report, select Save at the bottom of the page.
Your S.T.A.R. report is now enabled and ready to run!
