Admin User Training: Maintenance Mode by Point
Maintenance Mode allows alarms to be temporarily suppressed for an individual point of monitoring during planned maintenance activities.
What is Maintenance Mode
The feature is intended to support probe replacement workflows, where alarms may trigger while sensors or devices are being serviced. Maintenance Mode prevents new alarm generation for the selected point while monitoring and data collection continue normally.
Feature Behaviors
- Applies to one point at a time
- Suppresses new alarm generation during the selected duration (1hr/ 4hr/ 8hr/ 24hrs)
- Monitoring data collection continues normally
- Alarm monitoring resumes immediately when Maintenance Mode expires
- Maintenance Mode events are logged in the system
- Maintenance Mode periods appear on excursion reports
- Optional: notification sending for start/end of Maintenance Mode
Users must have notifications enabled to receive Maintenance Mode notifications.
