Ambient Room Temperature and Humidity Sensor Installation and Placement

Installing an HT Sensor in a room or warmer

Special notes to consider prior to installation

The best temperature & humidity sensor placement would be eye level in a central location of the desired area to be monitored.  The sensor can be mounted on any support beam, appliance, or fixture not directly under HVAC supply vents.  If the HT sensor cannot be placed in a central location, you can also mount them at eye level on an interior wall not directly under HVAC supply vents.

Installation of your Temp and Humidity Sensor Instructions

1. Determine the location of where the HT sensor will be located.

2. Insert your Sonicu sensors into the desired inputs on the underside of your SoniShield Duo.  Attach the included 6’ extension cable to connect the sensor to a meter, and plug the male end of the cable into the meter’s input.

*An extension cable must be used for this application.* Do not attach your HT sensor directly into the bottom of the Duo meter.  This will provide an inaccurate reading from the sensor.

3. Plug the female end of the extension cable into the sensor and be sure it is connected securely.

4. Run the cables along the wall from the location where the HT sensor will be placed to the Duo.

5. Attach the sensor to the appropriate cable and secure the sensor in place with zip ties and tie blocks or other cable management devices.
