First Steps to take when your Sonicu MVP Meter is reporting as offline

This Article will take you through the first steps to take anytime your Sonicu Meter is reporting as "Offline"

Check your entire Sonicu Meter. This includes:
  • Checking that the device is plugged into an active power source
  • Ensuring the antenna is completely tightened
  • Ensuring the cable and probe are fully inserted
  • Checking that the entire cable, probe, and antenna are not damaged in anyway
Once you have inspected the unit, reset the unit by inserting a paperclip and pressing and holding the reset button until the LED indicator flashes green. Make a note of what color(s) the LED indicator displayed. Respond to this message with what color(s) the LED indicator displayed or include a video of the LED with your support ticket. This will ensure that we are able to resolve your issue as quickly as possible.
 
For any Sound Indicating Meter:
Check your entire Sound Indicating Meter. This includes:
  • Checking that the device is plugged into an active power source
  • If the device has an external microphone, make sure that the microphone is fully inserted into the port
Once the unit has been inspected, reset the unit by power cycling the device. Make a note of what color(s) the SIM displayed. Respond to this message with what color(s) the SIM displayed or include a video of the SIM with your support ticket. This will ensure that we are able to resolve your issue as quickly as possible.
 
For any Sonicu Meter that is using a Sonicu Gateway to connect:
 
Either move the gateway towards the unit or move the unit towards the gateway. Once you have done that, reset/power the unit and see if it checks in. If you get a check in then the reason your device is not connecting is because it is unable to reach the gateway. You can alleviate this by either relocating the unit or gateway closer or by purchasing a 900 MHz repeater from Sonicu and placing it in between the two.
 
Check the gateway. If the gateway is operational, it should be blinking green. If it is blinking any other color please contact Sonicu and let us know what color the LED is. This will help us to narrow down the possible solutions to getting your system up and running.
