      Admin User Training: How to set Re-Notification Intervals

      Re-Notification intervals (repeating alarms) make it easy to not forget about an existing alarm

       

      To set up Alarm Notification Delays, please follow the steps listed below:

       

      1.  Click on the Navigate button on the top right corner of the page and select "Settings".

      2.  In the "Alarms and Notifications" section of the Settings page, select "Escalation & Repeating"

      3.  The first column on this page is your user list.  The second column is your Alarm Notification Delay.  The third column is your Re-notification interval.  Click on the user you wish to update.  Once you select the user, a pop up will appear from the right side of your screen.  

      4. Enter the rate at which you would like your alarms to repeat.  This time is entered in minutes.  

      5.  Once you have entered the Re-Notification interval, click the green Save button. 

       

      *Please note*  The alarm that repeats is simply a copy of the initial alarm.  This means that it may not reflect the value found on SoniCloud after the first alarm.  This notification is merely a reminder that your initial alarm exists.  

       

      For alarms that are Snoozed. You will not be notified if a Snoozed Alarm state expires UNLESS you have Re-Notification Intervals set above 0 minutes. If Re-Notification Intervals are set to 0, you will only receive the initial alarm notification.

       
      Example
      Alarm 1 created 8:00
       
      Alarm 2 created 8:15
       
      Alarm 1 notification is sent at 9:00 after 60 a minute delay
       
      Alarm 2 notification would be sent at 9:15 if alarm 1 hadn't just reset the delay, but it will now be delayed until the re-notification interval completes.
       
      Notifications for both alarms should be sent at 10:00 since they are both past the delay time and the re-notification interval has been passed.
