S-Series Ambient Temperature, Humidity, and CO2 Sensor Installation Guide

The S-Series Ambient Temperature, Humidity & CO2 Sensor is only compatible with the SoniLink Hub.  If your Hub has not already been activated, please refer to the SoniLink Hub Quick-Start/Installation Guide before proceeding.

The S-Series Ambient Temperature, Humidity & CO2 Sensor is a compact indoor monitoring device for a wireless LoRaWAN network.  It is equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication) and is easily installed via a smartphone.

Below are the screen icon descriptions if you have the optional screen.

2.  Fix the bottom of the device to the rear cover with the theft-deterring screw.

Note: To ensure the best detection and LoRaWAN communication, it is recommended to install the device as follows:

  • Do not mount the device where the temperature is below/above the operating range or where the temperature varies greatly.
  • Stay away from any heat source or cold source like an over or refrigerator.
  • Do not mount the device close to where airflow varies greatly like windows, vent, fan, or air conditioner.
  • Do not mount the device upside down.
  • Do not place the device right next to the window or door.
  • It is recommended to install the device at least 5 feet from the floor.

Additional Notes:

  • A full-screen refresh will occur as needed to remove ghosting.
  • If the device detects the temperature outside the range from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F), the screen will close automatically.
  • For CO2 threshold ranges, the device supports defining Excellent, Polluted, and Bad thresholds for LED lights and screen alarms.

Power Supply

Remove the rear cover of the device to install the batteries, do not reverse the direction of the batteries when installing.

Note: Do not replace with alkaline batteries.  Use ER14505 Li-SOCI2 AA 3.6V Lithium Non-Rechargeable batteries only.  They can be purchased through Sonicu.
