Hardware Description
Sensor
The Induction area is the target trigger area for the magnet to signal that the door is opened or closed.
The Tamper button must be installed with the tamper button depressed. If the Tamper button is removed or the tamper button is released, it will trigger a check-in and possible alarm from the SoniCloud platform.

Physical Installation
Installing the sensor and magnet with the plate on a refrigerator/freezer must be on the door opening side of the appliance (not the hinge side).
Installing the sensor and magnet on a room door the sensor will be placed on the door frame and the magnet with the plate should be placed on the inside of the door.
-
Remove the 3M Tape backing from the sensor.
-
Place the Sensor onto the very edge of the refrigerator opposite where the magnet will be placed, pressing gently for a secure seal.
There will be a green flash when the Tamper button is securely depressed during installation. If there is a red flash, the Tamper button on the Sensor is not securely depressed and should be reinstalled to receive the green flash. (The flashes will not remain steady but only flashes).
- Remove the 3M Tape backing from the magnet.
- Attach the magnet to the raised portion of the plate so that the notched side of the magnet is on the front edge and will face the sensor when installed.
- Determine where the magnet will be placed by lining it up with the notches on the sensor.
The distance should not be more than 12mm between the Sensor and the magnet, otherwise it may affect the sensitivity of the open/close detection.
The height distance should not be less than 7mm between the Sensor and the magnet, otherwise it may affect the sensitivity of the open/close detection. - Remove the backing of the tape on the bottom of the plate.
- Place the magnet part on the door being sure to line up the notches on both the sensor and the magnet.
- The green light will flash every time the door is open or closed. Verify the green light flashes by opening and closing the door a few times.
